What PGCE colleagues, who have trained at the school, have written about their experience.

Comment about a Professional Studies session:

“The Professional Studies session was creative, innovative as well as thoughtfully planned.  There is no doubt of its impact on my teaching practice - it was really helpful.”

Audrey

“I am currently in the second phase of PGCE school placement and have attended several Professional Studies sessions; all of which have been extremely well organised, superbly delivered and most beneficial.  The ‘Starters and Plenaries’ session provided an array of captivating ideas which have been used several times - they have certainly livened up some of mylessons.  If the content alone wasn't enough, there's always enough food and drink to feed an army!”

Helen

Upon finishing the teaching placement:

“Thanks for having us in your school.  It's been a fantastic experience!  Thank you for your help!”

Chi

“Thank you for all your support, I have learnt so much and have really enjoyed my time at Lanfranc.”

Sarah

“Thank you for all your help and support.  You've made us all feel very welcome.”

Carly

“I have enjoyed myself immensely and appreciate all the advice you have given me!”

Luis

“Thank you for all the help and support over the last few months.  It's been a great experience.”

Danielle

“Thank you very much for the support and guidance you have given me over the last few months!”

E- mail to the school, 2010

Hi George and Elaine,

Just letting you know that today, unofficially at least, I have passed QTS.  I cannot thank you both enough for all the hard work you went through on my behalf and the great support you gave me during my 6 weeks at Lanfranc.

As I think you know I was at a very low point when I came to Lanfranc and it was your support, encouragement and help that made the difference and reinvigorated my efforts to become a teacher, I cannot thank you enough for that. When I was asked at the final assessment what had been the watershed in my time training I did not hesitate to say it was my time at Lanfranc.

Please could you let Steff, Marie and Candy as well as John and Henry from ICT know that I have passed and in fact thank all the staff on my behalf for their wonderful support and friendship during my short stay, it was a privilege to work with such a great team.

Many thanks again.

Mark
