Only one fixture was played this week - no less than a Borough Cup Semi-Final for our Year 9 Boys' Football Team against Riddlesdown.
After racing into an early lead, our lads were pegged back to level scores at 4-4 after 90 minutes, but scored two minutes into injury time. Incredibly, Ridllesdown equalised in about the fifth minute of injury time, pushing the game into extra time.
Neither team could score a decicive extra-time goal, so the dreaded penalty shootout followed, which Lanfranc unfortunately lost 3-4.
It was a fantastic game and a shame that anybody had to lose, but we wish Riddlesdown the best of luck in the final.
