Here are the results of fixtures (all Football) completed this week:
Yr 10 Boys' v. Winston Churchill School (Surrey Cup 1st Round) Lanfranc won 4-2
Yr 9 Boys' v. Trinity (Croydon League) Lanfranc won 4-2
Yr 11 Girls' v. Tomliscote (Surrey Cup) Lanfranc Lost 0-10
Yr 10 Boys' v. Shirley (Croydon League and Cup double-header) Victory for Lanfranc as Shirley conceded
A special mention needs to be made with regard to the Yr 11 girls' football team; although the match against Tomlinscote school was a bit one-sided, the spirit of the Lanfranc team was inspirational throughout.
Despite being behind in the game quite early on, they still played with effort and heart - there was even laughter and singing in the bus on the way home. Mr Curtis dealt with the singing with extreme patience but also had to put up with getting back to our site at near-on 8pm, so the departments thanks also go out to him.
Well done to everybody who worked so hard this week.
