Immobolise.com is a website where members of the public can register property with serial numbers before it is lost or stolen.
If an item goes missing they can notify its loss. As the register knows the numbers required for identification it is easier to trace, the culprits may then be arrested and the property returned.
It is free.
Pupils can also register their mobile phones, iPods, mp3 players, iPads, bicycles, etc
