Feedback on punctuality project

Many of our children are on time for school every day. This shows that they see the value in a good punctuality record, ensures that they receive all the necessary information via bulletins in Tutor Group time and demonstrates that they are working with their teachers to reach their potential.
The focus on punctuality over the last month has produced some very positive results:- There has been an immediate reduction in the number of pupils arriving to school late
- Fewer interruptions to the learning of others by latecomers
- More people on seats on time, meaning more learning time and better grades!
- When students are where they are supposed to be they are safe - not travelling alone
- Comments on ‘references’ for college and work experience placements regarding punctuality demonstrate good timekeeping for more pupils
- Fewer referrals to Education Welfare Service for fines/prosecution
- The office staff have not have to call/text parents to find out where pupils are - therefore Ms Millington can work on rewards!
Remember, each term we run an Attendance Prize draw with the winner receiving £100 reward as games/voucher etc…
Top Tips
- Arrive at school by 8.15am at the latest
- Move straight to tutor at 8.15am
- Receive a mark for being ‘present’ at 8.20am
