Year 5 gifted and talented mathematicians from Winterbourne Junior Boys’ School have been working with the maths department at Lanfranc for the last 5 weeks. Well done to Tharshan Thatparan 10LHO and Gautham Sugunan 7RRO who both won gold certificates in this year’s UK Maths Challenge. The challenges are set by the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT), a registered charity whose aim is to advance the education of children and young people in mathematics.  Here are two of the questions from the junior paper.
