I was chosen along with 4 other pupils to represent The Archbishop Lanfranc School in the borough book quiz. The team was: Madeline Beresford, Heidi Cobham, Shilpa Pradeep, Natalie Dent and me, Reece Lewis.
We travelled to the quiz which was being held at Woodcote High School in the school mini bus and arrived in good time, we took our place in the main hall and waited for the quiz to start.
The quiz began. There were 5 questions in each round and there were 10 rounds in all. We knew the answers to most of the questions. Some team members knew more about particular books than others so we had to work together to get the answers right. After round 5 there was a break it was a chance to eat the snacks on offer and talk to other schools, it was a lot of fun.
At the end of the quiz we came second, which is good, but it would have been better to have come first! The winners were Riddlesdown We all congratulated them
It was then time to look at our goody bags, we each had 2 bags! One for taking part and one for coming second. The bags contained: books, bookmarks, pens, pencils and sweets!
We all agreed that it had been great fun and if we get the chance we would do it again we would like to win next time.
