We went to Cuckmere Haven on Tuesday 23rd June 2009 with 7.8, Ms Weaver, Ms Small, Mr Pumphrey, Ms O’Mahoney, Ms Stafford and Ms Simms. The journey was good but a bit boring. We arrived there at first we had a little snack.
When the teachers finished speaking to us, we started walking up the hill, there was a lot of sheep’s poo. We stopped and our next task was to do a sketch of the whole river. Miss Stafford’s was probably the best out of 7.4, I could see the tributary and the meander.
After a while we started walking down the hill. I could see the English Channel across the river. We had lunch at 12.30pm. Everybody sat on top of the pill boxes eating my chocolate. We met some people having a barbeque and they threw a sausage and I do not know if it hit anybody. Then we had to walk up one of the biggest cliffs. As we walked up it felt like you was about to fall. We had a rest and some water. I needed a lot of water on that day.
My favourite part was when I got to have a big rest and on the coach going back.
The worst part was when had to walk up the massive cliff.
We learnt about rivers, meanders and a bit of history.
Overall the day was ok but tiring.
