Last month 18 pupils from Years 10 and 11 went to Paris for 3 days. We had a fantastic time visiting the sights and the pupils really made the most of the opportunity to practise their French. Two pupils have written about their experiences of the trip:

“In October, some Year 10 and 11 students went to France for 3 days. We had to be at East Croydon train station at 5am!! Once we got to France, we dropped our bags off at the hotel, then headed off to the centre of Paris. We went on a cruise on the Seine then went up the Eiffel Tower. We also went to Notre Dame cathedral and had the best ice-cream in Paris and we went to a chapel. We made friends with some French girls in the hotel and learnt a bit of French from them. Overall it was a great trip.”  Kerry Morris, Year 11

“I really enjoyed going to Paris. We went to some beautiful places like the Sacré Coeur, Victor Hugo museum and the amazing, if slightly high, Eiffel Tower. I liked being able to have some free time to explore the streets of Paris. My favourite bit has to be the opportunity to practise my French. I found that the trip has improved my pronunciation of French words. Luckily, the people in Paris were able to understand me."  Jodie White, Year 10
