Hello everyone, we wanted to present ourselves to you. Our names are Andrew, Angela, Nivehthan, Daniel, Tajevinth and Vimukthy, and we are members of the German GCSE club. We meet every Thursday after school in Room 43. We are working towards a GCSE qualification in German.
Here is a bit of information about us. Daniel is in year 7. He speaks very good German as he lived 9 years in Germany. Tajevinth is also in year 7 and has come to England after having lived in Germany a similar length of time. Vimukthy is in year 8 and lived in Switzerland. He sometimes mixes Swiss dialects into his German, which is funny. He is working very hard in the lessons. Nivehthan, who is also in year 7 and lived in Germany for many years is also so good at German that he will be doing his GCSE this summer. He has just completed 3 excellent courseworks. Andrew and Angela are at the moment the best in German, as they have only recently come to England. They learn a lot of new English words in the German lessons, as they find translations into English at times difficult. Both of them are also doing their GCSE this summer.
We love the German course because we meet new friends and keep our language alive. We also improve our spelling. We find the German grammar difficult and sometimes we get the genders of the nouns wrong but it is getting better all the time.
Please join us in wishing Andrew, Angela and Nivehthan good luck for their GCSE exams this summer,
“Viel Glück an Angela, Nivethan und Andrew”
