We look forward to welcoming Year 11 pupils and their parents to Examination Preparation Evening on Tuesday 7 February at  7.00pm.  The evening is full of invaluable advice and information to help pupils prepare for their forthcoming exams.

Whilst in Year 7 you can expect to cover the following areas of study:

  • A Novel (Skellig, Crash in the Jungle or Respect)
  • Shakespeare (Midsummer Night’s Dream or Macbeth)
  • a Drama (Stepping Up or Odysseus)
  • a non-fiction project
  • an introduction to poetry
  • an autobiographical unit

Each half term you will complete an assessment for learning assignment which could range from an essay, writing in role, or a play script to speaking and listening, performing poetry or creating a magazine.

Homework tasks will be set in accordance with the school Homework policy and will include both reading and writing tasks. You should expect to get one to two pieces of homework per week each lasting about 30 minutes.
