Recently Archbishop Lanfranc pupils from Year 7-11 submitted work for the Young Writers’ I have a Dream poetry competition. Pupils were asked to write an inspirational poem consisting of 30 lines or less. Work was then selected for publication based on perception, imagination, expression and good use of language.
We are absolutely delighted to announce that 59 pupils have been offered a place in the Young Writers’ forthcoming anthology entitled I have a Dream . . . Words that Change the World – Surrey,2009 which will be published later in the year. It is wonderful that such a high number of our young writers were successful in this competition and we have been personally congratulated, by the judges, on the high quality of our pupils work. Many congratulations go to our pupils for their hard work and well deserved success. We look forward to reading their work soon!
