This half term, pupils from year 7 have been learning to read musical notation.
The standard given rhyme to help them learn the notes on the lines is:
Every Good Boy Deserves Fruit
Pupils from 7-1 and 7-8 came up with their own.

As part of a national competition for 11-18 year olds, pupils were invited to create a piece of art that portrayed their deepest emotion. Congratulations to the following pupils whose winning entries will be published in the “School Artists” book: |

Croydon Youth Musical Showcase - Spring2 |

This term, some of our year 10 pupils had been rehearsing each week in preparation for a massive ABBA showcase at the Fairfield Halls on Tuesday 31 March 2009. Five of ABBA’s biggest hits were sung by choirs from seven different Croydon schools accompanied by the Croydon Youth Orchestra. It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to experience such a creative and social event. |

Instrumental music letters for Summer Term tuition have been given to pupils. Payment is due by Friday 27th February. Please contact either Ms Baumann or Ms Yangopoulos if your son/daughter hasn’t received a letter. |
