This year’s prize giving showed the school at its very best. There were many outstanding achievements to celebrate, particularly among the examination results from last year’s year 11.
We heard excellent speeches from our special guest, England’s most capped basketball player Ronnie Baker, and the head girl and boy, Jessica Foskett and Shivang Joshi.
The review of the year gave a flavour of the many developments we have seen in the past twelve months and of the breadth and richness of opportunity which exists for our pupils.
An innovation for this year’s ceremony was a tremendous musical interlude which showcased the talents of our jazz ensemble. They played “Oye Como Va”, a song popularised by Santana on their 1970 album “Abraxas” and now a firm favourite at the school.
