This week has seen two fantastic evenings showcasing the excellence of our pupils’ work in art and music.
Those fortunate enough to have visited the art exhibition will have enjoyed both the quality and variety of work on display. The detail in pupils’ sketchbooks demonstrated that application allied to talent is what produces outstanding results. The personal nature of the exhibits was palpable and added an extra dimension to what was an extraordinary “collection”.
The nature of the musical “Summer Soirée” creates a very special atmosphere. The standard of both composition and performance, across an eclectic range of styles, rose to new heights this year and drew massive appreciation from a very enthusiastic audience. The support the pupils offer each other and their obvious gratitude for the efforts of their teachers says much about our school.
Sincere congratulations to everyone involved in both these special occasions and particular thanks to our art and music teachers, Ms Nixon, Ms Deamer, Ms Lafhaj, Ms Baumann and Ms Yangopoulos.
