We look forward to welcoming Year 11 pupils and their parents to Examination Preparation Evening on Tuesday 7 February at  7.00pm.  The evening is full of invaluable advice and information to help pupils prepare for their forthcoming exams.

From Tuesday 18 May 2010 the bell system for registration, breaks and lesson changes will be turned off.

Pupils will be expected to take personal responsibility for reaching their “destinations” on time.

To assist with this there follows a summary of the timings for the school day:

08.20 Pupils must be in registration with their tutors.  Any time after 08.20 is late.

08.30 Lesson 1 begins

09.30 Lesson 2 begins

10.30 Break 1 begins

10.50 Lesson 3 begins

11.50 Lesson 4 Begins

12.50 Break 2 begins

13.15 Lesson 5 begins

14.15 Registration or assembly begins

14.30 End of the school day

Punctuality is very important.  It not only affects pupils’ references but also their learning.  Five minutes wasted time each day represents more than three whole school days lost in a year.  Being late is also rude and disrespectful.

Pupils who are persistently late will not only be punished but are also likely to find themselves in trouble with the education welfare service; this may lead to a fine for parents.
