The shape of things to come

You will be aware that there are plans for new buildings for our school.  It is now highly probable that we will be part of the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme in Croydon and that we could see construction beginning by 2013.  The new school will be built on the existing site but not on the footprint of the current buildings.

The initial stage of planning for our new building has begun.  We have produced and submitted a school strategy for change (SSfC) document which has been well received.

The purpose of the SSfC document is to set out what the school wants to achieve and how its ambitions will be realised.  The next stage is to explore how the design of the new buildings will best allow our intended programmes to be delivered.

Attached to this article is a copy of the SSfC document.  We should be very pleased and interested to receive any comments or suggestions from members of our community.  There remains scope to amend our proposals before we move to the next stage of planning.
