Everything in its right place

My first blog in December made reference to some music from the 1970s.  I hope you will be pleased to see that I have moved on to the year 2000 for the title of this piece!

Some aspects of school life can consume disproportionate amounts of teachers’ time.  I hope that pupils and parents alike will work with us to prevent this happening.

I suppose we have to accept that portable technology is here to stay.  Even I have an iPod and a mobile phone.  There are however times when the use of such devices is inappropriate and the school day is one of them.  It is a well established rule that phones/music players/etc are not to be used by pupils during the day and that if seen or heard they will be confiscated.

It is equally well known that hats and caps are not to be worn.  As with other aspects of our uniform regulations this applies on the way to and from school as well as during the school day.  These items will also be confiscated.

Everything in its right place.
