The Archbishop Lanfranc School

On Wednesday 11 February Ed Balls, Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, announced that 75 sports colleges would share over £21 million to improve their facilities.

You will be delighted to learn that we are one of the schools to benefit – to the tune of £350k.  The money is a contribution to the cost of creating an artificial turf pitch.  It is likely that we will be able to use this money as seed funding to attract the total amount necessary to complete a thorough upgrading of our outdoor sports facilities.

This is fantastic news for the school and the local community and I should like to congratulate Mr Atkinson and all his colleagues in the PE department on producing a successful bid.
