This week brings an opportunity to share examples of schools testing ideas and trialling innovations to inform future design of their school.

The New Line Learning federation in Kent has a great video clip on YouTube (thanks Souraya) youtube.com/watch?v=nnPLrK1USMA. This is a short clip of about 8 minutes examining the impact of their ‘Learning Plazas’.

The Fountaineers project from Futurelab illustrates the impact personalised learning can have on the outcomes for young people futurelab.org.uk/resources/publications-reports-articles/web-articles/Web-Article262 and links to other resources regarding innovation for personalising.

Caroline Chisholm School is an all through school who have used the opportunity to create a new school as a mechanism for testing new ideas, future.ncsl.org.uk/ShowResource.aspx?ID=294 and in this clip the Head describes how foundation stage learning has profoundly affected approaches across the school.

Corridors offer a fantastic opportunity to engage and stimulate our students, these ‘spaces in between’ can be radically reconceived as they have at Charlemont Primary School, teachers.tv/video/3118/ .

Finally, this video from the PfS website illustrates how one school, Allerton High partnershipsforschools.org.uk/library/bsf_voices_allerton_high.jsp achieved a school design to support enterprise and independent learning.
