On Wednesday 17th November there was a visit to the school from five delegates who were attending the 'Teach for All' International conference held in London. As part of the 'conference experience', Archbishop Lanfranc was asked to host the overseas visitors as an example of how successful the Teach First programme had become in the UK.
After the visit the following email was received by the school. Its words are as much for the pupils who work with the staff as they are for the parents/carers who support the school.
Dear all,
Just a quick e-mail to say thank you for hosting our Teach For All delegates today. They said how much they’d enjoyed the visit and all of them commented on what a lovely atmosphere the school has and what great things are clearly being done by the school for the students and the local community. They were impressed by the quality of teaching and learning going on in the classrooms they visited and the energy, enthusiasm and friendliness of the staff.
