The Archbishop Lanfranc School

The Easter period has seen rapid progress on the new pitch. The consolidated ground has been covered with a tarmac layer and a rubber shock pad. The walkways are in place and the lights attached to the pylons; the lighting control box and the electricity cable providing power installed. As the photographs show the fencing is beginning to rise and will be completed by next week. As a result of some additional funding from the RFL we have begun the process of leveling the adjacent football pitch which is in a poor condition. The grass has been killed in preparation for the removal of the topsoil and the subsequent leveling.
