Following the success of the re designation of the school as a centre of excellence for gifted and talented pupils, now Archbishop Lanfranc has been recognised for the quality of its staff training and development.
The Institute of Education (IOE) recently introduced the 'Pan-London Professional Development Award. The IOE were looking for schools with an outstanding history of providing quality staff training, continuing professional support and a commitment to share such skills and expertise with colleagues in other educational establishments.
Following an assessment visit in March, Lanfranc was judged to exhibit all the necessary qualities to receive the highest level of the award - namely achieving 'Gold' status. Look for the logo on the website; you cannot miss it - it's purple!
